• Metis is a boutique legal practice with a significant international client base located in Asia. Further, we regularly advise and act on behalf of lawyers based in the pan-asian jurisdictions including Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, India and China.

  As a result of this, we are better positioned and exceptionally more cost effective than most rival international practices to assist and advise UK based clients who have interests or disputes in Asia, and vice versa.  

  Drawing on our specialist expertise, we regularly advise and assist UK clients in their expansion of business operations to the pan-asian markets. We have a particular expertise in India where, in conjunction with local lawyers, our services range from advising on a client’s market entry strategy whether it is through a foreign office set up or joint venture to direct assistance and procurement of local intelligence and support in the creation of a client’s foreign business network. We pro-actively work alongside local lawyers and government agencies in our advice and aim to drive bilateral trade between the UK and other foreign markets.

  We have particularly strong relationships with lawyers and clients together with diplomatic links in Tokyo - Japan, Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia and across most metropolitan cities in India.

  We are currently assisting clients on entering the Indian and South African markets.
