  Commercial Property Development

  Metis advises on long term regeneration work, town centre redevelopment, as well as stand alone property development, including acquisitions, joint ventures, tenant lettings, disposals and property finance. Our experience includes site assembly, mixed use developments, retail and leisure and dealing with environmental issues.

  Property Portfolios

  Our team has considerable experience acting for prominent national retailers and hoteliers, private and public companies as well as individual investors. We deal with all aspects of both residential and commercial property portfolio management including acquisition, funding, restructuring and disposals. Our experience includes retail, licensed, leisure, industrial, office, mixed use and residential property portfolios.

  Landlord and Tenant

  Metis acts for all types of tenants from start up businesses through to national retailers and PLC’s. We assist in the tenants management of their premises by dealing with all areas from acquisition and fit out right through to assignment, surrender and lease renewals.

  Acting for landlords we negotiate new leases, lease renewals, sub-letting, landlord consent for change of use, refurbishments and alterations as well as recovery of rent arrears, dilapidations, tenant insolvency and removing un-authorised occupants.

  Housebuilders

  Metis works for regional and national house builders advising on heads of terms, dealing with site acquisitions, site sharing arrangements, planning and infrastructure agreements options and plot sales. Our services are enhanced by our expertise in contentious areas such as contractual disputes.

  Licensed Premises

  Metis advises companies and private individuals operating in the licensed and leisure industries dealing with acquisition, disposal, financing and management of both freehold and leasehold premises including hotels, restaurants, pubs, bars, nightclubs, fast food establishments, adult entertainment venues and cinemas.

  Agriculture

  We have extensive experience in dealing with large landed estates, and advise on buying and selling agricultural property, agricultural tenancies and farm business tenancies, death and succession issues, assignments and surrenders, farm diversification and advice on countryside issues such as rights of way sporting rights and the “right to roam”.
